We sometimes throw a few rags to George Franklin, and new riders Piran Skajarowski, Shorty and Alex Wake. We also look after a Plymouth skater by the name of Callum 'Pea Head' Lane who had a section on 'House of Cards'. He skates super good for his age. WHAT IS THE FUTURE FOR YOUR BRAND? We just want to push this thing as far as we can. To give bodyboarders a label that they're proud of, but also appeal to everyone with an appreciation for good clothing. More bodyboarding films in the pipeline - We're really excited about producing the sequel to House of Cards. We're getting involved with the upcoming 'Spot M' event , and we're really keen to collaborate on some new events in the future. WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT THE BODYBOARDING INDUSTRY? There isn't the same kind of money in the bodyboarding industry as in surfing, so surfing has a further reach, and has become more mainstream. It would be good to see a dedicated bodyboard label get as big as that. Billabong are a surfing brand but they also sponsor bodyboarders. Hopefully one day you'll see a bodyboarding label sponsor a surfer! WHAT DO YOU SAY TO BODYBOARDERS WHO WEAR SURF CLOTHING AND SURF PRODUCTS RATHER THAN BODYBOARDING CLOTHES? As far as we're concerned its all good. People are into good looks in a brand, they're just buying something that they want to wear. They've made a choice based on their personal tastes rather than just blindly going for a product because of the backing its got. Don't get me wrong, we're grass roots bodyboarders ourselves and the bodyboard labels come out with some amazing stuff, some of the best, but there are also a lot of labels based in different areas that we're really into as well. Good design is good design , regardless of lifestyle choice. Keep riding, and keep supportin gbodyboarding brands, expecially local ones. But buy it because you like it, not because you feel you have to. HOW CAN WE STRENGTHEN THE BODYBOARDING INDUSTRY? Buy only the finest, Buy Local! |
